When it comes to on-page SEO, I provide everything you need to see a long-term boost in your rankings.
On-page optimizations include everything you can see on a web page.
Everything from keyword usage to header formatting, plus title tags and meta descriptions. Even though the latter two aren't technically "on" your webpage, they are still elements I always include in my optimizations.
Title tags and meta descriptions are the first things people see of your site in search engines, so they should be handled with care.
Even though meta descriptions aren't a direct ranking factor, they can still affect click through rates. Think of them as a FREE advertisement of your brand.
Meanwhile, title tags can most definitely affect your rankings, which is why you typically optimize them for your main keyword—or a variation thereof.
When a website has multiple pages that are nearly identical to one another, Google might classify them as having duplicate content.
This usually means that only one of the pages will get ranked. Or, at worst, none of the similar pages will get ranked.
Fortunately, there are several SEO tools that can help us identify duplicate content issues and quickly go to work on fixing them.
In my experience, the most common instances of duplicate content occur on local business sites that have multiple location pages.
Whatever you do, DO NOT copy and paste content from one location page to another. This is known as scraping, and it's one of the prime culprits of duplicate content.
Create fresh, organic content for EVERY page of your site. Yes, it takes longer than scraping, but it will benefit way more in the long run.
I don't have a one-size fits all recommendation for which on-page package you should buy...
But I also don't want you to purchase more than you need.
Let's say this... if you have a small services-based business site, you'd probably be fine just purchasing the 2-4 landing page optimizations option.
Your main concern would be to optimize for your primary services, and most small businesses don't have more than four.
If you're considering additional services to go along with your on-page SEO package, I'd recommend getting keyword research.
This will give you a more complete sense of what keywords your site should be optimizing for, plus my competitive research will give you a glance into what your top competitors are targeting.
Alternatively, if your concern is more about the overall functionality of your site, I'd recommend getting a site audit.
